More Information about this project
After our team of specialists performed an extensive survey on this 10MWp solar farm in the west of England, we were contracted for and delivered on a cathodic corrosion protection system that guaranteed, for a period over 40 years, that the mounting structure of the existing PV-system would completely seize to corrode and any other metal driven into that field. Ache Engineering delivered a qualitative stabilisation system according to the time schedule.

Stabilisation of a PV-System near Plymouth (UK)
After being able to assert ourselves as a specialist in this field in an international tendering process, for stabilising an existing plant near the South English town of Plymouth. The more detailed planning phase began in our company headquarters in Leun (Hesse). The task was to stabilize an existing photovoltaic system, as it had become necessary due to the special weather and environmental conditions.
After analyzing the situation together with the customer we jointly decided on a solution in which further posts were anchored in the ground and mounted to the existing system with a special strut designed by Ache Engineering.
After performing a new and more detailed static calculation and several testings, we started to carry out the works in October. It was a challenge due to the difficult conditions on the ground, but turned out to be more of an opportunity. “The upper soil layers are very soft and squashy and the weather is very wet and stormy. These are not the best conditions for such works, but everything is going according to plan and we are well in time”, said Managing Director Ernst-Günter Ache. “Nevertheless, we were able to carry out the work to the complete satisfaction of our customer, who have already planned further collaborations,” he continues.
The on-site construction management and catering was also met with a very positive response: the food and the entire catering of our construction site kitchen was highly praised and the work carried out in the debriefing with the customer and client was exceptionally good.
We are always pleased when our services exceed the expectations of our customers. We’re glad about that and look forward to the future cooperation.
